Looking at the pCloud web dashboard in more detail and we can see that we have a nicely organised menu available towards the left of the screen from which most of the main parts of the service can be accessed. NB – As can be seen above, pCloud initially only release 2GB of cloud storage for free account holders, the full allocation being released when certain tasks have been completed including verifying the email address in use and uploading files to the service! After confirming all necessary details, the account creation process lasted only a few seconds in my case before the main pCloud dashboard became available just a few moments later. Signing up to pCloud beings at the official pCloud website, it is from here that the 10GB free account is available to all new users as are the upgraded premium annual and premium lifetime plans.Īs can be seen above, signing up to the pCloud 10GB free account requires only a valid email and password be initially entered and the preferred datacentre location chosen ( pCloud gives all users the choice between USA and EU datacentres, including for free account holders). I have been a big fan of pCloud for several years now and in this latest version of my review (which has been fully updated for 2023) I will be looking at both the core pCloud offering in addition to some of the many enhancements and new features added over the last few years – Vamos! Not only do they offer generous cloud storage quotas and amazing value for money via their lifetime plans, but many advanced features are also included such as desktop synchronisation software, full end-to-end encrypted storage, secure link sharing, 30+ days of version history and WebDAV access to the service plus much more on top. In a crowded and competitive cloud storage market as of late, it is pCloud which really stands out as one of the leading players.
Since its beginnings back in 2013, pCloud has continued to grow and develop into what is now a leading cloud storage service as of 2023! One of the main drivers of pCloud’s growth is no doubt thanks to its clear focus on providing the highest levels of data security and user privacy which are backed-up by a great set of complimentary features ( up to and including a fully functional backup utility now built directly into the service).
